Sugar pit | NOT YER BABY | Tango Machina | Fetal Rage | Righteous mighteous
This bill piles together snarling punk, nervy indie, and riff‑heavy rock for a night that swings from witty, off‑kilter anthems to pure basement‑show chaos.
Gods | in the pines | DD island | Desert Jellies
This bill reads like a love letter to everything the Basement does best: local legends hitting their stride, touring heavy‑hitters passing through, and hungry support acts riding real momentum. From lysergic psych and blown‑out garage rock to warm indie/folk textures and free‑wheeling jam explorations, it’s a wall‑to‑wall lineup with zero skips—a stacked night where every set feels like a headliner and the only wrong move is showing up late.
Bond Street Speakeasy | Jazz Night
This bill weaves sultry jazz vocals, soul-drenched songwriting, expansive fusion jams, and silky standards into a night that swings from intimate, candlelit vulnerability to full-throttle instrumental fireworks.

HONEYBREE
HoneyBree is a Central NJ singer-songwriter whose classically and jazz-trained voice channels an unlikely collision of Amy Winehouse, My Chemical Romance, and Sarah Vaughan into something raw, meditative, and emotionally demanding.
Expect ethereal melodies that hit like confessionals, hypnotic motifs that pull you under, and a vocal delivery that pivots from emo vulnerability to jazz-club commandthe kind of set where the whole room goes quiet and nobody wants to break the spell.
CHIARA MARIA
Chiara Maria is a Jersey Shore jazz vocalist and soulful singer-songwriter who's been writing songs to process her emotions since she was eight years old. Her music fuses the charm of jazz and blues with brutally honest lyrics, inspired by Ella Fitzgerald, Hozier, and Frank Sinatra.
Known for her freestyling, she pulls words from the crowd and writes a song on the spot, Chiara brings a playful, spontaneous energy backed by a rich, soulful voice that dances between jazz standards and vibrant originals like "Bangin' On the Walls." Last year she wrote a song every single day and posted it to socials, racking up over 267k views. She's not just performing, she's inviting you into the process.
RADIANT QUEST
Radiant Quest is a jazz fusion / prog rock four-piece from NJ with Dylan Sutton on guitar, James Cecala on keys, Curren DeVico on bass, and Jason Braun on drums. Their live sets pull from Billy Cobham, Wayne Shorter, Chick Corea, and Average White Band while still making room for sprawling original compositions.
This is the band that turns a speakeasy into a jazz odyssey, expect extended solos, whole-tone funk workouts, and the kind of telepathic interplay that only comes from musicians who've logged serious stage time together in and around Asbury Park. They'll fill the Basement with the same energy that blew the doors off the Asbury Book Cooperative. []
THE WRIGHT TRIO
The Wright Trio is an Asbury Park institution, fronted by the sultry vocals of Natasha Wright and backed by a rotating cast of NJ's top musicians including guitarist Doug Clark, bassist Gary Mazzaroppi, and drummer J Taylor Leach. With over 22 years of combined industry experience, they perform fresh interpretations of jazz standards, R&B classics, and popular favorites at venues across Asbury Park, Hoboken, and New York City.
Think "I've Got You Under My Skin" reimagined for a basement speakeasy, elegant but never stiff, polished but always alive. Regulars at Asbury Oyster Bar, Pascal and Sabine, and The Asbury Hotel, The Wright Trio are the anchor that ties this entire evening together with pure, unapologetic class.
The Lovers Masquerade
Slip into the shadows at The Lover’s Masquerade, a Valentine-ready night of poetry, live music, romance, and just‑enough debauchery. Masks are encouraged (bring your own or grab one at the door), Red Head Redemption, Blush, Monkeys from Mars, Jacob Schaffer, and Middlebrook (Eric V) provide the soundtrack, and your ticket scores 15% off a Valentine’s meal at Loteria or Capitoline when you show proof of purchase. Tickets 15 dollars, available online or at the door.
Renee Maskin & the Wilder Tide | Johnny Nameless | Pronto | San Tropez
